WINNIPEG -- They lost out on the Henry Burris sweepstakes but the Winnipeg Blue Bombers didnt wait long to land another quarterback, acquiring Drew Willy Thursday from the Grey Cup-champion Saskatchewan Roughriders for Canadian receiver and Regina native Jade Etienne. Air Force 1 Homme Pas Cher . Winnipeg also signed Willy to an extension, reportedly for two years. He was scheduled to become a free agent next week and will be unveiled by the Blue Bombers on Friday at Investors Group Field. "Drew is a quarterback we have always thought had very high potential in this league," said Winnipeg GM Kyle Walters. "He immediately upgrades us at this position and we really look forward to him being a part of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers moving forward." But is he a starter who can win regularly, something a team that finished with a league-worst 3-15 record last season so desperately needs? Playing behind Darian Durant, Willy doesnt have a lot of experience. He posted a 2-2 record in his two seasons with the Roughriders and, at least on paper right now, is competing for the starters job with Max Hall and Justin Goltz. The six-foot-three, 215-pound Willy was 32-of-52 passing last season for 474 yards with four touchdowns and one interception. He saw more action in 2012, completing 69-of-95 passes for 709 yards, five TDs and four interceptions. Riders coach Corey Chamblin, named the CFLs coach of the year Wednesday after leading Saskatchewan to a their fourth Grey Cup title, has praised Willy for his composure. Willy wasnt Winnipegs first choice. He joins the Blue Bombers after they lost out to the expansion Ottawa Redblacks for the services of free-agent Burris, the CFLs passing leader last season who was released by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Hall became Winnipegs starter last year as the Bombers struggled through a series of quarterbacks and traded veteran Buck Pierce to the B.C. Lions. Goltz, who had been considered by many to be the teams future, failed to measure up when he finally got his shot. Willy, 27, is a native of Randolph, N.J., who spent some time in the NFL on practice squads in Indianapolis, Baltimore, San Diego, and New York and played in the UFL with Las Vegas in 2010. "I am really excited to join the Blue Bomber organization," he said in a statement. "The support the team gets from the province of Manitoba is remarkable. "With such a deep history, the fans, the new stadium, and the direction the team wants to go, its going to be a great place to play. The people within the organization have shown genuine interest in me, and as a player, you cant ask for anything more." He started two games in 2013, going 1-1. He earned his first CFL win as a rookie in a come-from behind victory at Winnipeg in the Banjo Bowl, where he completed 17-of-23 for 188 yards and a touchdown and ran for another. Willy played at the University of Buffalo, where he was the most prolific passer in school history, setting records for completions (849), attempts (1,322), yards (8,748), touchdowns (52), total offence (8,639), and completion percentage (64.2). "He is a quarterback with great promise in our league," said Danny McManus, himself a Canadian Football Hall of Fame quarterback and Winnipegs new assistant general manager and director of U.S. scouting. "Drew has the attitude and determination you look for at the quarterback position. "He is physically and mentally tough, and can endure the challenges a quarterback faces, day in, and day out." Etienne, 24, was an off-the-board first round pick of the Blue Bombers in the 2011 draft and after three CFL seasons had 20 receptions for 276 yards and two TDs. But he didnt see a lot of action until 2013 when he had 19 catches for 265 yards and the two touchdowns. Like Willy, Etienne was set to become a free agent next week. Balenciaga Fausse Pas Cher . Chelsea ripped apart Hull inside 25 minutes at Stamford Bridge, with the early goals from Oscar and Frank Lampard securing a 2-0 victory. While Lampard had earlier missed a penalty, Roberto Soldado had no such trouble from the spot for Tottenham, scoring on his debut to clinch a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace. Air Max 720 Homme Pas Cher .C. -- Eric Staal kept his focus after his apparent breakaway goal was waived off early in the third period. http://www.chaussurepascherchine.fr/ . This weeks Raptors Report puts a bow on Gays brief, 10-month tenure in Toronto and ponders how his absence will affect the teams offence. Are they a better team without him? In addition to acquiring some valuable cap flexibility, what impact will the four incoming players have this season and beyond? A composed finish from Colin Kazim-Richards gave the Hoops a half-time advantage, which was cancelled out by Abiola Dauda on 57 minutes, before Patrick Roberts and Leigh Griffiths secured the three points for the champions. The win left Celtic nine points clear of Aberdeen, who defeated Motherwell 4-1 later in the afternoon, but with the Hoops goal-difference of plus-55, it would take a seismic event for the Dons to snatch the title as they can only equal Celtics current points-tally by winning all their remaining three fixtures, while Ronny Deilas side would also have to lose all three of their matches by significant margins. Leigh Griffiths wrapped up a 3-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle Celtic were on the front foot from the start and had the ball in the net after 12 minutes when Roberts weaved his way into the box and tested Neil Alexander with a low drive which the goalkeeper could only parry, and Callum McGregor followed up to knock the ball over the line, only to be wrongly flagged offside. Two minutes later Nir Bitton threaded a pass to Roberts who again placed his shot to the keepers right from inside the box and was thwarted by Alexander, who then got up to tip the rebound from Griffiths over the bar. Reaction from both camps after Celtic all-but wrapped up their fifth succcessive Scottish Premiership title with a 3-1 victory over Hearts But Celtic made the breakthrough on 17 minutes with a move which started on the left side of the halfway line before the ball was worked to the right side of the Hearts box where Mlkael Lustig delivered a chip to the back post where Kazim-Richards controlled the ball on his chest and crashed his shot under Alexander from six yards. Vans Old Skool Pas Cher. Griffiths had a great chance to double the lead five minutes before the break when Prince Buabens shot was blocked by Bitton and the ball spun to the Celtic striker who raced forward from the halfway line and dispatched a shot from 20 yards which Alexander diverted wide with his legs. Callum McGregor had a goal wrongly disallowed at Tynecastle Hearts almost levelled the game three minutes after the break when Arnaud Djoum strode forward and hit a shot from 20 yards which deflected off Sviatchenko, and with the ball heading for the bottom left corner of Craig Gordons net the former Hearts stopper made a fingertip save. But Hearts continued to press and were rewarded when Dauda (57) collected the ball 10 yards inside the Celtic half before turning to drive through the visitors defence and send his low drive past Gordon from the edge of the box. Patrick Roberts restores Celtics lead in the 3-1 victory over Hearts Ten minutes later Lustig headed over the target from five yards with his back to goal after Sviatchenko flicked on a corner from Roberts as Celtic tried to regain the lead. And they did so 90 seconds later as Hearts dithered in defence with Alim Ozturk and Perry Kitchen playing poor passes before Roberts nicked the ball off John Souttar and showed terrific poise to slide his shot through the legs of the advancing Alexander.Celtic came close again when Kieran Tierney cut the ball back to Tom Rogic and he swept his first-time shot over the bar from 16 yards within a minute of appearing as a substitute. And Griffiths secured the victory five minutes from the end when he closed down a clearance from Soutter and then nutmegged the Hearts defender before beating Alexander at his near post with a low drive for his 30th league goal of the season.
